What you'll do

Enjoy a day of rafting and see the breathtaking views in the Golden Circle from a new angle! Start the day viewing the most amazing natural sights in Iceland, and then continue your adventure with an exciting afternoon rafting on the Glacial river.

We present to you, the perfect day in Iceland. This combination tour explores The Golden Circle with its amazing sights and allows you to enjoy Icelandic nature from a unique angle, on a boat cruising down a glacier river.

First stop on the adventure is Þingvellir national park, abode to the oldest parliament in the world and UNESCO national heritage site. Not only that, it is also home to one of the most splendid geological sites in Iceland. The park lies in a rift valley at the edge of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and the border between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates and is home to Iceland’s largest natural lake.

You will visit the surreal Haukadalur Geothermal Area, with its bubbling ponds, steam vents, the original Geysir and Strokkur geysers. Stick around long enough to watch the Strokkur geyser erupt (around every 10 minutes), spurting a column of water up to 30 meters in the air.

The last stop on the Golden Circle is the iconic Gullfoss Waterfall. It never ceases to amaze with its its sheer force and  source of seemingly endless water. Gullfoss collapses dramatically into the Hvítá river, a river you will become more acquainted with during your rafting trip.

You will then get geared up for your rafting trip on the Hvítá river. The river starts from the glacier and features a mixture of serene canyons and exhilarating waves. The perfect activity to follow your morning of sightseeing is venturing into the refreshing glacial water and experiencing the power of a real glacier river. After the bigger rapids, you will be amazed as you sail down the breathtaking Brúarhlöður canyon.

There is no need to worry about the cold water and the cold temperatures of Iceland, we provide wet-suits to keep you warm, and life-jackets to keep you afloat. The trip is for everyone that is up for a little adventure and is suitable for most ages and abilities.

We truly believe this is the best way to tour the Golden Circle, with an exhilarating rafting trip!
