This Old Stone Watermill lies on the Vidourle river, near the fascinating village of Salinelles and only 3km from the picturesque medieval town of Sommieres.
Enjoy the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean, which are only a 35 minute drive away. The area surrounding the mill is mesmerising countryside, perfect for peaceful walks, cycle riding (bikes provided), and fishing.
The mill has a fenced old style heated salt water infinity pool (7m x 11m,), allowing you to swim whilst basking in the beautiful sun of the South of France.
The Watermill also has its own river beach with 2 kayaks (each for 2 adults and a child), games room (pool table, table tennis, and other toys), mini football pitch, and an adventure playground for young children. This family-friendly accommodation is perfect for any occasion, and is sure to keep every member of the group happy!
The mill comprises of as accommodation for up to 27 people split between three gites, so can be a lovely place to stay for a couple seeking peace and tranquillity in a stunning location, as well as a families looking for a group holiday.
Our River End gite is the star of the show, with a balcony with a view of the pool and a large terrace with views over the river – as well as amazing views from the kitchen/dining room and from the master bedroom.
The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and a small child’s bedroom just off with a child’s bed & cot. The double bedroom just off the lounge has French doors onto the balcony and a pool view.
Upstairs there is a mezzanine with an old fashioned granny bed (120cm wide) and under the eaves of the house a twin room with velux window. This gite sleeps 8 people as well as 2 cots (max 9).
This Watermill is near to cafes, restaurants and thriving busy markets, allowing you to immerse yourself in the local culture and cuisine.
Take a 5 minutes stroll through the unique South of France countryside and you will find 3 restaurants, cafe and the post office in Salinelles.
With a 5 minute drive into Sommieres (or cycle along our new converted rail track), you can reach 2 supermarkets as well as lots of bars and restaurants. You will find everything you could possibly require in this gorgeous town.
