It was a wonderful day in all respects. Daphne (the tour guide) was professional, knowledgeable. The added touch of the little picnic on an island at the family chateau with wine and local Loire Valley products was a nice bonus. The communications with the company, the well-timed activities of the day, the small group (there were 5 on the tour) all made for an experience to remember. I already have a tour with the same company booked for Bordeaux and am confident I will experience the same high quality service of the tour and the personnel.

Lara was great. She was especially helpful for us because were unable to get a timely enough train ride from Paris to Tours and she was willing to wait for us. We saw Azay le Rideau, and had a nice picnic (wine, cheese, dried fruits) at a privately owned castle. Definitely recommend this as a cool day-trip away from Paris!

Lovely afternoon touring the chateaus. From our tour guide, Daphne's, information and stories about the houses and gardens we visited, it was easy to imagine families and friends living in these properties. It was an enchanting time, walking among the gardens and sitting in the dappled light under the trees, and viewing the immaculately restored rooms and buildings. Eating local produce and quaffing local Sauvignon sitting in the sun, beside the river was the perfect way to finish the afternoon.
