Your guide will show you the main rooms of the castle and describe fascinating anecdotes.
Their objective is to make you spend a day as fun as it is fascinating. You will then stroll through the remarkable gardens of Villandry, breathtaking in their beauty. Your guide will share all his knowledge about these French gardens, and will lead you to viewpoints to discover them like no one else. You will admire the vegetable garden, the labyrinth, the water garden and more.
Lunch break (not included) in the village of Villandry or Azay-le-Rideau. Your guide can recommend a good boulangerie or cafe for a quick lunch.
After a short lunch stop, saddle up for the second stage of your excursion! You will leave the Cher Valley to join the Indre Valley, during the ride (about 45 minutes) open your eyes wide as you ride through typical villages of the region, orchards and fields.
When you arrive in the town of Azay-le-Rideau you will see its castle, built on an island in the middle of the Indre! You will be able to admire the reflection of its facade in the river which makes it one of the most famous castles of the region. Once inside, the numerous refurbished rooms will allow you to imagine the life of a castle through the centuries. I was born in Paris and lived there for most of my life until I moved to Bordeaux for a new job to work for a wine company. During my time here, I completely fell in love with Bordeaux, as well as Strasbourg and Reims, and truly discovered what we call in French art de vivre (the art of living).

After visiting Chateau de Villandry and the gardens, we were positively stunned! The gardens put Versailles to shame and it was so lovely I didn't think it could get any better.
