I was born in Paris and lived there for most of my life until I moved to Bordeaux for a new job to work for a wine company. During my time here, I completely fell in love with Bordeaux, as well as Strasbourg and Reims, and truly discovered what we call in French art de vivre (the art of living).

My partner and I took a private Wine Tasting Tour of the Loire Valley at Easter with Olaloire. Daphné (our wonderful guide) picked us up from our hotel in Chenonceau and we did a full day tour of the 3 different Loire Valley appellations (Vouvray, Chinon and Bourgueil) visiting a beautiful winery in each region. We had a tour of the wine caves in Vouvray and were able to see the vines in Chinon and Bourgueil with a relaxed tasting in each place. Overall, we learnt a lot about the wines that each region produced and it was an eye opener to the variety of wines the Loire has to offer and definitely developed a new admiration for Cabernet Franc! Daphné was with us the entire day and has a wealth of knowledge about the area and history of the surrounding chateau's. I would recommend Olaloire for tours of the Loire as they offer a few different tours.
