Pierre

I was born in Paris and lived there for most of my life until I moved to Bordeaux for a new job to work for a wine company. During my time here, I completely fell in love with Bordeaux, as well as Strasbourg and Reims, and truly discovered what we call in French art de vivre (the art of living).

Experience Itinerary

Gourmet River Cruise and Christmas Markets

You will be collected by private transfer from Strasbourg Train Station to your 4* hotel and spa, Le Bouclier d’or or similar, and unwind ready for your adventure in this beautiful, romantic city.

From the quaint, narrow streets of Petite France, the atmospheric quays of the Ill River, the magnificent Strasbourg Cathedral, to the picturesque squares of the Grande Ile, you’ll discover a unique charm to the city that feels even more magical as Christmas rolls around.

First, you’ll join your guide and head out on a private river cruise, exploring the Grande Ile and European Quarter, all whilst tasting local Crémant, some savoury Kougelhopf and incredibly delicious macarons.

As night falls and the lights of the city start to illuminate its beauty, it will be time to head to the wonderful Christmas markets, where the famous Christmas tree, illuminations, pretty wooden chalets, mulled wine and aroma of cakes and pastries create a magical atmosphere.

For years, Strasbourg has been named a “Ville et Métiers d’Art” city, recognition for the work the city does in preserving and supporting centuries-old traditions in craftsmanship and the arts.

Then, it’s back to your hotel for your overnight stay.
