What You'll Do

On this trip you will be able to experience and learn about the local culture in Bordeaux through a food and wine tour. You will have the chance to taste some of the best local dishes and wines all whilst being led by a local expert guide.

Your trip will start with a welcome 3 course meal at your hotel where you will get a sense of what to come for the next couple of days.

The next day you will embark on your private walking gourmet tour in Bordeaux where you will visit some of the cities best local delicacies. The following day you will be taken to 2 of the most prestigious wine regions in Bordeaux. In one day you will be able to taste and enjoy some of the best wines that Bordeaux has to offer and gain a real insight into the culture.

On your last day you will enjoy a breakfast at your hotel and then be sent onwards with your travels or head to the airport.

I was born in Paris and lived there for most of my life until I moved to Bordeaux for a new job to work for a wine company. During my time here, I completely fell in love with Bordeaux, as well as Strasbourg and Reims, and truly discovered what we call in French art de vivre (the art of living).

Experience Itinerary

Check in at your hotel

Check in to your 3* hotel located in Bordeaux.

Enjoy a welcome dinner in a local restaurant located near your hotel (3 courses with drinks not included).

Private Food Tour

Breakfast at the hotel.

9:30 am: Meet your English speaking guide in the lobby of your hotel. You will then embark on your 3 hour private walking gourmet your in Bordeaux.

This city tour will take you to the most distinctive producers of local delicacies. Bordeaux is one of French towns which combines every ingredient of the French “art de vivre”: history, traditions, architecture, wine and food.

12:30 pm: Your tour will end and you will have the rest of the day to relax or get some lunch and explore more of what the city has to offer by yourself.

Medoc and St Emilion

Your day will start with breakfast at your hotel.

You will then enjoy a full day wine tour! This your will take you to 2 of the most prestigious wine areas in Bordeaux: Saint-Emilion with its great Merlot and Medoc with its deep and powerful Carbernet-Sauvignon.

In one day you will enjoy some of the best Bordeaux wines. This tour is as much a wine and tasting experience as a French culture insight tour. With beautiful views and an insight into the culture of the village of Saint-Emilion and the beautiful architecture of the chateaux.

 

Check out

Unfortunately, your trip has come to an end. You will enjoy one last breakfast at the hotel and check out. When you will either carry on further with your travels or head home.

Location Information

Bordeaux, hub of the famed wine-growing region, is a port city on the Garonne River in southwestern France. It’s known for its Gothic Cathédrale Saint-André, 18th- to 19th-century mansions and notable art museums such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux. The beautiful and vibrant city is a must visit for any wine lovers!
