The Bailey is a great little corner of Yorkshire with its quirky Shepherd’s Hut and a boutique Bed and Breakfast.

The 300-year-old house has space for 2 beautiful, boutique BnB rooms, and at the far end of a painstakingly landscaped garden is the quirky Shepherd’s Hut.

Your room is finished to an extremely high standard, with a comfortable king-sized bed and Egyptian cotton sheets. Relax in your spacious en-suite as you soak in the roll-top bath, as you enjoy a space where you can properly unwind and switch off.

The B&B is the perfect place for those looking to relax and enjoy a hearty, home-cooked breakfast in the morning, before heading out to hike the trails of the Yorkshire Dales in the day and try Skipton’s many fantastic local pubs in the evening.

There is free parking, all bedding and towels and WiFi are included. Whilst check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 10:00, guests are welcome to park from 12:00 noon and remain parked until 12:00 noon on the day of departure.

My wife and I bought and renovated The Bailey in 2017. We have lived in the area for more than 20 years and know all the best pubs, walks, tourist attractions, restaurants etc.

We have gone to great lengths to make sure our guests have a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, as evidenced by our wonderful reviews. Our accommodation options are finished to the highest standard and offer a variety of interesting alternatives including 2 BnB rooms, a luxurious Shepherd’s Hut and a dog-friendly Holiday Cottage.

Fantastic stay, only a short walk into Skipton. Our bedroom and bathroom was really stylish and indeed the house throughout. Great breakfast too cooked by Mark. Would certainly recommend.

Beautiful house, beautiful garden. Mark the owner is an absolute stand-up chap and caters to your every need. Everything about the breakfast was...well...perfect. I’ve stayed in a lot of B&Bs in my time and this was the best.

Brill location - in the centre, moments from castle and town, but on a quiet stretch of road. Would 100% recommend for a break in Skipton, ideally located and really high standard of accommodation. Thanks to our host Mark for a great stay!
