What You'll Do

Enjoy a unique woodland yurt experience on this lovingly designed boutique glamp-site in Chichester, within easy reach of London, but feeling like a million miles away!

Take the opportunity to switch off, chill out and really appreciate some time together in this beautiful woodland yurt village, a really unique place to stay in the UK. Whether you are a novice or an experienced glamper you are sure to be impressed by the solid, comfortable yurts, each totally unique and equipped with vintage or hand-crafted furnishings.

The floor is carpeted in natural coir and there is a large Moroccan rug, complimented by the romantic white drapes.

There is a handmade oak double bed, and up to three extra fold out cushion beds, an antique table and even a Chesterfield sofa for relaxing by the cosy wood burner.

The site is solar powered, but there are LED lights and charging points in the yurt.

Outside you will have your own picnic table, a pallet kitchen with a gas stove and kettle, and barrel BBQ for al fresco dining.

The site has a lovely tree house kitchen which is for communal use. It has an icebox chiller – literally cooled by blocks of ice! It wont freeze food but will keep it cool, and there are ovens and hobs to use whenever you wish to cook or bake!

There is a wonderful wood fired hot tub, and you can pre book your slot before you arrive, and a huge fire pit to relax and unwind by on the long summer evenings.

There is also a very large communal ‘home yurt’ which has a DVD library and place to relax.

There are 12 woodland yurts on the site – if this one is not showing availability for your dates please ask us for your dates on chat, we will be happy to help.

Your Local Host:

Makka and Louise

Makka and Louise have a great love for living a low-impact lifestyle.  Their dream is to provide Eco-friendly spaces for people, which allow them to disconnect with the everyday and reconnect with nature and their true selves.

It is here where you are today that they have spent many years creating, growing and sculpting this small piece of unused woodland into a space where everything you see and touch is authentic and works with the environment.  As much as possible is lovingly hand-crafted, using traditional techniques and local materials.  It is a place where creative people are welcomed and inclusion is encouraged.

Each yurt has its own charcoal barbecue, gas stove and picnic table. We can provide an amenity hamper full of all the cups, plates and crockery you will need for an additional cost. Included in the hamper will be supplies of tea and coffee too for throughout your stay. Our communal treehouse kitchen features 2 x gas-burning stoves and ovens, a catering sink and a cool box for keeping your drinks chilled.

For a decedent, locally reared breakfast order one of our delicious hampers created by Jo Brand directly to your Yurt. If that sounds like too much effort ask our staff for the range of takeaway options available for delivery. Our on-site catering kiosk is open each day serving tea, coffee and light refreshments. There is also an honesty tuck shop with fizzy drinks and snacks.

Our heated, shower and toilet block contains 4 reliably hot, gas-powered showers (2 for men and 2 for women). There are two types of toilets at the Yurt Village: flushing toilets (3 Ladies, 2 mens & 2 urinals) and composting toilets (1 ladies, 1 mens) which are an experience that must be tried to feel truly at one with nature.

Check in time is from 2pm and check out is at 11am

All you need to bring are your clothes, swimwear, towels and a smile. Also food and drink if you plan on catering.

We love our planet so we run on solar power. This means we have solar lighting around the Yurt Village and an LED light inside the Yurts. We have two USB charging points in the Yurts but no facility for using hair dryers.

The hot tub is open from 10am to 10pm daily. There is a pre booking system to ensure all guests will have a private session of up to 40 minutes costing £20. Please book this on the day or at time booking.

Yes as long as it is not a breed listed under the dangerous dogs act 1991. If you are lucky enough to have a furry family member please ensure your dog is well behaved and looked after at all times. No animal is allowed to be loose on site and must be kept on a lead no longer than 2m. The site is surrounded by farmers fields and livestock. Please always make sure you clean up after your dog.

The yurts have a maximum capacity of 5 guests, using the double bed and 3 z-bed floor cushions. They allow 2 adults and 3 children for the maximum number of guests; alternatively they can accommodate up to 3 adults.

We offer a maximum of 3 yurts to a group; so if you have more than 9 adults, you would need to hire the site exclusively.
