Meet in Bath and cycle to Lacock
Wave goodbye to work on a Monday as you begin your break in the countryside! You should plan to arrive at Bath Spa late morning for a look around the city (and the Roman Baths if you fancy a tour!). You’ll meet your guides and group and get to know them over lunch in this spa city. You will then head out for an afternoon bike ride along the Kennet and Avon canal and towards the pretty village of Lacock. There will be a short transfer to the basecamp for the evening followed by a stroll over to the Bakers arms for dinner in the best pub known to mankind! Enjoy your evening getting to know the group and stroll after dinner back to basecamp and to your shepherd hut style accommodation.
Cycling 20-50 miles on gently rolling terrain.
Accommodation
Shepherd’s Huts
Once used by shepherds staying out in the fields during lambing season, the idea of cosy cabins in the woods has caught on – fully furnished, with wood burning stoves, beautiful décor, and everything you might need for a relaxing night’s stay near to nature. Enjoy the communal fire-pit, BBQ and free beer fridge in the evening and wake up to a hearty home cooked breakfast each morning (perhaps after an early morning dip in the lake!)
