Experience Itinerary

Arrive in Bergen

On arrival in Bergen your quickest way to the centre, and your hotel is to take the tram directly from the airport to the city centre.

They depart every 10 minutes and the journey is around 45 minutes. The ticket is 40NOK and can be purchased at a vending machine using a credit card.

From the tram station to the hotel it is about a 10 minute walk.
Enjoy the rst of the day at leisure in Bergen discover the sights and try the local cuisine.

Bergen to Aurland Cycle ride and Sauna

Today you will take a short walk to the train station for your train from Bergen to Myrdal.

The train departs at 08:14 and arrived in Myrdal at 10:02.

 

Here you will drop off your luggage at the cycle hire shop and it will be transferred to Flam for you ( payment on the spot by credit card)

You will then collect your hire cycle for your self guided extremely picturesque ride to Flam ( included)

You can go at your own pace and stop to drink in the wonderful views and to take photos on the way.

You will arrive in Flam around 2 hours later and will drop off your cycle at the station.

They will let you know what time your luggage will arrive and you will take a short walk ( 10 mins) to the Fjords sauna (included)

Here you can enjoy a total relaxation, the Norwegian way! Spend an hour or so here, then stroll back to the station collect your luggage and your taxi will be waiting to take you to Aurland.

 

This is a shared taxi transfer and takes around 10 minutes to Aurland.

You will need to pack a swimsuit and towel in your hand luggage for your sauna experience.

Flam Fjord Safari and Hike

This morning after breakfast, at around 8 am  you will be collected by taxi and taken to meet your guide for your Fjord Safari in Flam.You will start your day with a scenic one and a half hour RIB boat trip on the fjord, before taking a guided hilke up the mountain to a local goats cheese farm, along the way you will experience breathtaking scenery, fjord views and cascading waterfalls. You will take a guided tour in the farm, learn about the authentic cheese making methods still employed today , and of course taste the delicious goat cheese. Your hike back down will take around 30 minutes and your taxi will be waiting to transfer you back to the hotel in Aurland

From Aurland to Voss

This morning spend the time at leisure enjoying the crips clean air and wonderful views from your hotel or take a stroll to discover more of this pretty village in the middle of the Aurlandsfjord with its dramatic landscape and rich culture.For over 200 years people have lived here by hunting in the forests  and fishing in the fjord.

Around 2pm you will take the bus from the bus stop very close to the hotel and take the 2 hour journey to Voss.

On arrival your hotelier will usually be available to collect you and take you to the Store Ringhaim hotel.

Today you will explore the Voss trails in the Bømoen forest on a guided group bike ride( included)
The tour meeting point is in Voss centre. The meeting point is a 30 minute walk from the hotel, but you can also get a taxi or a lift from the hotel owner if he is available.
The tour starts at 10 am and lasts for around two and a half hours as you discover the single track trails and gravel pathways through the picturesque forest and fields.
Bømoen is renowned as one of Voss’s best outdoor recreation areas and it’s the favourite cycling area for locals in summer and winter.

Train back to Bergen and Departure

This morning after breakfast you will take the train from Voss to Bergen( included)
The station is a short taxi ride from the hotel ( extra)
And the train journey is around one and a half hours to Bergen.
From the train station you may want to spend some time in Bergen before heading to the airport for your flight home.
The city tram is a convenient way to get back to the airport  and the journey time is 45 minutes.
The ticket is 40NOK and can be purchased at a vending machine using a credit card.
