Enjoy a fun filled break to Lapland. Get off the beaten track and experience what the Finnish wonderland has to offer, with a husky safari, reindeer farm visit, a meeting with Santa Claus and an exciting snowmobile safari!
Your trip will start with a transfer from Rovaniemi airport to your accommodation at Santa’s Hotel Aurora in Luosto. You will have the chance to relax before starting the adventure the next day.
Your trip will begin with a visit to a local reindeer farm, where you will be guided around by a local. Then enjoy a taste of the local cuisine at lunch before moving on to your safari led by reindeer. The next day you will visit a Husky farm and learn all about the use of huskies in Finland. You will then set off on a safari in a sledge pulled by the huskies through the snow covered forest.
You will of course get the chance to meet Santa Claus in his own cabin, the children will love getting to talk to him and tell him all about their Christmas lists. On your final day, enjoy the chance to explore the wintery forests by snowmobile, the best way to travel around the snow covered landscape and frozen lakes.

You will be greeted by a driver and then transferred from Rovaniemi airport to your hotel. You will get to relax and be able to enjoy a nice family meal before your adventure really begins tomorrow.
Start the day off with a breakfast buffet. Following this, you will taken to a reindeer farm where you will be given a guided tour and learn all about the famous Finnish animal.
Get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures, so central to Sami culture and symbolic of life in the far northern reaches of Finland. After the tour, experience a ride in a sleigh from one of these gentle animals, and hiss through the silent trees and the pure, cold air.
You will then have a warm lunch of locally made soup, bread, coffee and kampanisu. Your lunch will be paired with some storytelling and you will also have the chance to learn some more about the area from a local.
After your day of adventure, you will be taken back to your hotel where you will have some time to relax before having dinner.
Today, you will be visiting a husky farm where you will learn all about huskies and just how important they are to the Finnish people. You will start the day with breakfast again before being taken to the husky farm.
A local will guide you around the farm, where you will learn all about huskies and how to use them to pull a sledge as well as hearing some stories about the dogs. Following this, you will embark on a 5km husky ride where you can use the mushing skills you would have learnt to guide the dogs. These beautiful, energetic dogs will take you on a tour of the incredible landscape and you’ll get to spend time interacting with these affectionate animals.
Then, embark on an exciting 2 Hour snowmobile ride around the snow covered forests of Luosto.
Your expert guide will help you get the hang of your snowmobile, then lead you on a stunning adventure around the part of the world that is one of Europe’s last remaining wild places.
You will then return to the hotel where you will have dinner and have some time to relax by the fire or enjoy some well earned relaxation time in the sauna.
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, the whole family will get the chance to meet Santa himself. You will be able to ask him questions, learn about life in Finland and all the traditions and cultures associated with the country. Your kids can show him their Christmas lists and it will be a moment none of the family will forget.
You will then head back to the hotel for an afternoon of relaxation. Go to the spa, sit in the sauna or even just spend time exploring the grounds surrounding the hotel, it’s up to you!
Then, you’ll head for another warming, hearty dinner, warm your bones by an open fire, and spend the evening at your leisure, waiting for the spectacular Borealis to burn across the clear night sky.
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred back to Rovaniemi Airport for your flight out of Finland.
