Then get ready for your exciting evening adventure! You will be setting off for a cruise to search for the Northern Lights.
The Sailboat owned and operated by a former coastal guard captain. Max 12 pax on board. The boat has a hot tub on deck. Duration is 4 hours, if you’re lucky, catch a glimpse of the otherworldly Aurora Borealis flashing across the sky.
There is an inside lounge where they can stay, and where the meal (Reindeer soup) is served. Coffee, tea, water, hot chocolate and cookies are included. If you want to bring some other beverages or snacks, you are welcome to do so.
Transfer to Sommarøy, to stay one night at The Sommarøy Artic Hotel:
Northern Light Park: Halvar
Just a 3-minutes drive or 20 minutes by foot from the hotel is Halvars place (transfers not included). He is a local inhabitant that has lived at Sommarøy all of his life and he is a unique individual full of knowledge and stories about life in the Arctic.
Halvar built the Northern lights park stone by stone with his own hands and all the materials he used is recycled from the old school building and other structures around Sommarøy.The Northern Lights park provides shelter, heated premises and toilet facilities. The parks location is unique and the building is gently placed in the nature. With almost no light pollution, to ensure perfect photos of the Northern lights.
Entry includes free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits.
Transfer time can be arranged the hotel directly
Transit to Tromsø (09:00 am departure), bags will be left at Scandic Ishav Hotel.

Northern Light Cruise: The sailing time is set to 7pm to 11pm. The dock is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Please be there 15 minutes before its fine.
Northern Light Park: please arrange visit directly with Sommarøy Arctic Hotel. Transfer is available (3min drive) or you can walk (20min).
